Rebates
Arizona municipalities have programs to promote water conservation and help residents save money while making the most of the resources available, preserving water for future generations.
Smart irrigation controllers can help Arizona residents save water and money by automatically adjusting watering schedules based on environmental conditions. In Arizona, where up to 70% of household water use is outdoors, smart controllers can help reduce water use by 20–50%:
City of Chandler
The City of Chandler offers rebates for replacing grass lawns with xeriscape (low water use) landscape, installing a new xeriscape landscape at a newly constructed home, or installing a smart irrigation controller.
City of Gilbert
Gilbert residents can receive up to $250 per household when they purchase a new smart irrigation controller. This program is being offered to Gilbert water customers to help the Town meet our conservation goal of minimizing outdoor-water-use inefficiencies.
City of Phoenix
City of Phoenix water utility customers who live in single-family homes can receive up to $75 for the purchase and installation of a smart irrigation controller. Renters who live in single-family homes may participate, but they must provide a letter from their landlord showing the work was authorized.
City of Tempe
Tempe provides customers with rebates and grants to support water conservation and efficiency upgrades. View a summary of resources available to residential customers (PDF).
